Top 5 Games for the PlayStation Vita

The PSP Vita is the handheld device of choice for those that really want a remarkable gaming platform, a no compromise solution for pure gaming. Leaving aside many of the issues such as the form factor, the limited battery life and the fact that games on the move are now available on a lot of other devices, once you’ve settled for the PlayStation Vita the following titles will make your investment worthwhile.

Virtua Tennis 4

This is an uncompromised tennis simulator, a game that will require your attention and will require you to truly hone your skills. The game looks just as good as the PlayStation 3 counterpart, runs smoothly and has crispy clear graphics. For the best tennis simulator that you can try on the go, this is the one, a game that truly shines.

Wipeout 2048

In the same vein of adrenaline ridden racing through sci-fi environments that the original Wipeout game brought forth on the PlayStation 1, Wipeout 2048 is the worthy PlayStation Vita contender. The game runs very fast, the environments are as detailed as you coup wish, and, best of all, there are no major differences from the PlayStation 3 versions, apart from the rescaling. The game is only available on the PSP Vita and quite frankly it can be reason enough to buy a system, it’s that good.

Uncharted: Golden Abyss

The Uncharted games series require almost no introduction. In terms of action/adventure games they are the best and to a degree, stand on a pedestal that has been unmatched. This PSP Vita version is just as good as you could imagine. Exploration, shooting, scripted action sequences, and, remarkably enough, an enticing story behind all the mayhem. If you want to explore a real Uncharted game for the PSP Vita this is it.

Rayman Origins

Rayman has been a friend of the PlayStation for a long time, it has seen countless iteration on the PC, on Nintendo’s consoles and many of the games were, unfortunately, forgettable. Not this one however. The PSP Vita Rayman Origins game is a 2D adventure/ platformer that really shines – the graphics stand out with style, the challenges are at their highest and overall, when you need a break from all the 3D fast paced games, this can be a cool but never boring retreat.

LittleBigPlanet PS Vita

The LittleBigPlanet franchise is one of those games that take the world by storm. Originally developed for the PlayStation 3, the PSP Vita version is just as enticing. The visuals are as lovely and as endearing as ever, you can create your own campaigns or play the included ones. In fact, given the PlayStation Vita touch interface, when it comes to creating new world, the experience is even more interesting than that offered by the TV screen version. This game/game builder is really a piece of art and can be played by children and adults just as well and, if there ever was a game that deserved buying a console just for it, this is it, no doubts, no second guessing.
