Hi Folks, We all know by now PSN is down for almost 48 hours and There is no official news from Sony as to when the system would be up again.
Sony yesterday admitted that “outside party†might be responsible for the outage. We suspected Hacker Anonymous for the outage as he seems to be taking revenge from Sony for the GeoHot Episode.
Here what Hacker Anonymous Posted on his Facebook wall Today.
“Take a break from online gaming for a while…..it will help your skills, your health, and your emotional levels, which by the way are a bit out of order if they are being shackled by the PSN being down,†it says. “We have no qualms about our actions, even though it may affect fellow anonymous or supporters… we hope they understand the bigger picture.â€
However, the organization denies involvement on its website, posting an announcement with the headline, “For Once We Didn’t Do It.â€
“While it could be the case that other Anons have acted by themselves, AnonOps was not related to this incident,†it says.

Understand the bigger picture? Which is that Anonymous supports people that break the law, only believes in Freedom of Information when it doesn’t affect them (all information should be free, unless Anon disagrees….right……)
All this is, is a bunch of internet vandals throwing a tantrum, and spouting some philosophically naive and morally bankrupt bulldust to try and through a PR smokescreen over their otherwise self-serving actions. Ironically, once you break down their actions, they’re behaving _worse_ than the corporations and Governments they claim to be fighting against.

Based on Anon’s own ‘structure’, Anon can’t make any claims as to what they’re not doing. There could well be a significant group of Anons doing this, and just not talking to the other Anons. It’s more than a little ironic that an organisation that believes all information should be free and accessible to all, doesn’t even know what’s going on inside it’s own ‘organisation’….
Um, Your title is completely false and misleading isn’t it? No where in those statements is there any acknowledgement that they hacked the psn. Telling someone after the fact that they should make good use of this time offline and live in the real world is not an admission of guilt. I’m curious your thoughts on this.

Agreed – although Anon’s own limited dissemination of information has contributed to the confusion about what’s going on. Again, somewhat ironic given Anon’s stated goals.
What Anonymous done was very intelligent. Im not saying i agree with what they have done in the past but they are very intelligent.

Either way they are going to get caught it is easy to catch who hacked it since it is a outside party and ARE THEY DAFT IN THE BRAIN do they know what the conquences are for hacking a company’s internet servers they can a long time in jail i had $200 dollars worth of money in Playstation Network if it is gone do they know they can get sued by each and one of the people who got they’re money stolen that is basically stealing a PERSON’S PROPERTY WHICH IS ILLEGALY AND who are they for telling us to get a live they need a life (basically) what in the world are they trying to prove they can hack in a sucessful internet server and fail probalby having no money, got caught in the act, not going to have no fun with they’re playstation 3 and basically wasted they’re long weekend ( easter weekend) i don’t know about you but they did not waste my time i spent my time with my buddys and went around with my girlfriend and went fishing IF THEY ARE PROVING THEY CAN HACK A INTERNET SERVER THEY FAILED….. okay,japan already has enough to worry about… i dont know why hackers would want to do this….oh right! they have nothing else to do except destroy an online mutimillion dollar system and i dont understand why they didnt do xbox at the same time… i mean hell,it seems like more people play xbox anyways but,no… they want to destory a lesser community than a larger one.now i dont know if xbox really does have more users..but its just my opinon so all i can say and go to hell hackers
im sure playing ps3 is a lot less nerdy than hacking into one of the world’s biggest corporations, i mean, you say you’re hacking for freedom but really you just stole our services that we paid for and are credential information. anyway, these freedom hacking organisations are just plain sad and no one really cares about freedom on the internet, people care about freedom in countries and democracy and stuff, not the right to download movies for free which would be nice but would make the people who make the movies bankrupt and then there would be no more movies.
Services you paid for? The psn is free. Its not like they used your account info anyways. They have a good point, get off the console and be healthy. Anonymous did it. They did threat Sony a few days earlier and in the investigation they found that the hacker let a file named “anonymous” with the words ” we are legion”. Now stop defending anon and get real. Just because they say they didn’t do it doesn’t mean it’s true. In Lybia Qaddafi says his troops are not killing civilians. Do you people belive that too because Qaddafi said so? All clues lead to anonymous right now.

The reason they can’t get their IP is because most of the anonymous use masking IP’s and browsers. There’s a reason they’re called anonymous. You won’t know who the big ones are, just the little ones who get themselves caught. I don’t agree that they did it because the file says “We are a legion”. The anonymous code is We are a legion, we do not forgive, ect. expect us. No one that claims to be a true anonymous would have left those details out.
